Having been somewhat casually truck shopping to replace my father’s F-250, it’s not just diesels that are overpriced. Some people really want crack pipe money for really shitty old trucks.
Right now on my local CL there’s a 2003 Tacoma with 165k and “needs a little TLC” -
Parking brake sticks after sitting for a few days
Slight pulsation in brakes
Small leak in power steering
Needs a/c work
Needs new driver-door speaker
Dent in side of bed and cab
...
Not currently registered or inspected, so bring a trailer.
